Wearing the Sun

You may be wearing the sun soon. As flexible nanosolar materials become more efficient, discreet and cost-effective they may be incorporated into everyday life including the fabrics you wear. First stop is awnings, siding, windows, table umbrellas but then it's on to handbags, briefcases, coats and suits to power portable devices.

Konarka has opened a commercial plant to produce its flexible nanosolar film called Power Plastic. Power Plastic can be printed and coated onto surfaces and is a part of a revolution in solar energy. As I've said before, I think solar energy will play a big part in solving our energy problem.
