Centenarians For Obama

More bad news for the McCain campaign this week as Barack Obama picked up another endorsement from a former Republican. Although admittedly small, Obama secured the religious centenarian demographic when 106 year old Sister Cecilia Gaudette voiced support for his candidacy from Rome. This will be the Sister's first presidential vote since 1952 when she voted for Republican Dwight Eisenhower.

"I'm encouraged by Senator Obama. I've never met him, but he seems to be a good man with a good private life. That's the first thing. Then he must be able to govern," Gaudette told the BBC.

Don't expect her out on the campaign trail anytime soon though. She has been less than thrilled with all of the publicity.
